The game of Tetris, but with added controls, options, and game modes.
I was addicted to playing classic Tetris in high school, but was dissatisfied with the limited controls, difficulty, and customizable options of the game. So, I created this in order to allow for super fast and difficult gameplay.
• Default (classic Tetris)
• Master (points only awarded when 4 lines are cleared at once)
• Misery (all pieces are the same color, you cannot hold pieces, and the game area flips every 6 lines that are cleared)
• Change starting level/difficulty
• Change play-area width
• Toggle whether the next piece is displayed
• Disable random piece generation (same pieces in the same order for each game)
• Display grid
• Toggle screen-shake when piece is dropped
• "LSD" display mode (neon colors and constantly shaking screen---photosensitive epilepsy warning)
• LEFT ARROW: move piece left, navigate back in menu
• RIGHT ARROW: move piece right, navigate forward in menu (select)
• UP ARROW: rotate piece, navigate up in menu options list
• DOWN ARROW: force piece to fall, navigate down in menu options list. hold left or right arrow at the same time to move in that direction one unit once the piece hits the ground (used for quickly sliding under other pieces)
• SPACE: drop and place piece
• X: hold piece
• F: toggle fullscreen
• SHIFT: hold and press the left or right arrow to move the piece all the way in that direction
• P: pause game
• BACKSPACE: restart game (force game over)
• ENTER: retry (if game is over)
• ESC: return to main menu
